SummerTime is a 2-week day program (June 8th-June 19th) designed especially for children entering PreK-5th grade. It has two extensions for 6th-8th graders, Jamming with Kate during week one - a music program, and Daytripping during week two - a program created specifically for those who want to explore local venues with friends in group settings under the supervision of Fayerweather Teachers.
WEEK 1/ Half-day Program:
Designed for PreK-K, with a 12:45 pm pick up from Monday through Friday.
WEEK 1/ Three-day Program:
Runs full days, from Monday through Wednesday.
Extended Day Program:
Runs from 3:00 to 6:00 pm daily and open to all program participants.
Snacks are provided.
Drop-off & Pick-up
SummerTime doors open at 8:30 and the program begins by gathering in the classroom.
Pick-up is at 3:00pm.
Snack & Lunch
Snack and lunch are brought from home unless otherwise noted.
We are a nut-free community.
Campus
Our facilities include an art studio, full-size gym with climbing wall, kitchen, playground and sports field.
We are minutes from Fresh Pond, Alewife Reservation and Belmont Center.
The campus is easily reached by MBTA buses from Harvard Square and other locations.
SummerTime Staff
The SummerTime program is staffed by Specialists, Fayerweather Teachers and experienced Counselors.
The average staff-to-child ratio is 1:8.
Counselor-in-Training Our Counselor-in-Training program is designed for students entering grades 10-12 in Fall 2020. Teenagers interested in developing leadership and mentoring skills with SummerTime should submit an application or contact the Director, Carmencita Lowe for more information.
Fayerweather is a private PreK, kindergarten, elementary and middle school. We engage each child’s intellect, imagination and social responsibility. Our students are confident, resourceful and enthusiastic learners.
